General Info

All 1963-67 units have a black painted cover, All 1968-73 covers are blue. C3XF units have a blue ink stamping C3TF, C4TF, C5TF, C8TF, D2TF, D3TF units have yellow ink stamping. C4UF, C5AF, C8AF, D0AF, D2AF, D3AF use silver ink stamping. "AF" units were originally intended for use with 38A & 42A alternators while "TF" units were for 45A & 55A alternators. Our units are internally identical, so any AMK regulator will fit any 38A, 42A, 45A, 55A or 61A alternator.?All factory Ford regulators have a manufacture date code. 1963 - mid 1966 units are dated on the underside (can't be read when installed), later 1966 - July 1969 units are dated on the backside of the base (visible on 1969 cars only due to mounting location), August 1969-up units are dated on the back of the cover (visible). VR's are dated to an 8 hour period.?example: 8E21A equals 1968, May, 21st day, 1st work shift. If order a date code be sure to specify your car's build date
