Flat Washers .16 to .36 ID are thin stamped plates with a hole, used to distribute the load of a fastener. In autos, they prevent damage from the screw head, reduce vibration, provide a larger bearing surface for the loaded fastener and resist pull-through by increasing the bearing area.
